Would visiting spain and turkey be roughly the same price?

Question by Bangers and mash: Would visiting spain and turkey be roughly the same price?
i would go for 2 weeks by plane from england on all inclusive in a fairly nice upper middle class hotel

Best answer:

Answer by Jack
They’re probably the same – check with thomas cook or thomson!

I would say spain would be slightly cheaper, the flight is shorter, so less fuel, less tax etc.. However spain can be expensive. Depending on what hotels you choose and what deals you get, i’d say they’d be similarly priced.

Q&A: What have you done in your long summer holiday?

Question by Kitty: What have you done in your long summer holiday?
It’s me who is unlucky, there’s a 3 months summer in my country but there’s no summer holiday as well. My longest holiday is just less than one month. 3 weeks, or even just 2 weeks or 1 week. Okay, I’ll face 10 days holiday . I am tortured! I wish I was in USA, enjoying the long summer. Living in tropical country is such boring, hot hot hot!!!! NO WINTER NO FALL NO SPRING.

Ask me in a few months, it’s December here so winter on the calendar,
even though it doesn’t feel like it = most days are still around 80F (27C)

Hi fellow seniors, are any of you not having turkey for Christmas dinner?

Question by Lily: Hi fellow seniors, are any of you not having turkey for Christmas dinner?
All my family here will be tucking into the traditional turkey, all but one that is.
Our daughter in law is a vegetarian so I’ll be making her an Asparagus and Ricotta Roulade.

I’ve only ever made the spinach version before so fingers crossed that it turns out alright.

So friends are you like me in that you’re traditionalists when it comes to the Christmas turkey dinner or do you like to branch out and try something different?

Our main Christmas get-together is on Sunday, 23rd – when younger daughter and husband visit (from some 200 miles away) my older daughter, husband and children – and I join in for what will be a traditional turkey dinner (I’m supplying the turkey).
2 sons work over Christmas but will come over as and when, around New Year. I’ll spend Christmas Eve and Day quietly at home – just as I prefer to – e-mailing those far away and snacking on mince pies, nuts, tangerines, chocolate, cheeses, etc – mostly stuff my doctor suggests I shouldn’t.
But every best wish to you and yours, Lily – and whatever Roulade is I hope it turns out well.

What is a better holiday country for 3 old children ages 12-17 and a single mum, Turkey or barbados?

Question by Lucy: What is a better holiday country for 3 old children ages 12-17 and a single mum, Turkey or barbados?
We are trying to decide between them, because i want to go to barbados for the calm and weather, and my brother wants to go to turkey for the oceans and waterpark. Which?

Best answer:

Answer by jamand
Why not cut out all the arguments and go to Florida where you will get the best of both – loads of sun, calm and relaxation and your bro can go to all the water parks etc etc……a shortish bus ride and you are at the ocean…….

Better than Turkey by a country mile – I know – been to both and Turkey is not all it is cracked up to be

Q&A: I’m going on holiday in September to Sarigerme Turkey, how much do things cost over there?

Question by sirhenry: I’m going on holiday in September to Sarigerme Turkey, how much do things cost over there?
We are going all inclusive but if we want to leave the resort then we wondering how much stuff cost. ie, food, drinks, average meal, gifts n stuff??

Thanks

Best answer:

Answer by babyle_on
I have never been to Sarigerme to be honest however I can now tell you things like food and drink and very cheap here in Turkey.
You can eat a 3 course meal for less that 25 lira (£10) but be careful as they like to rip tourists of as they know that tourists find it cheap to be in Turkey obviously because of what we are used to in the UK.
However always order things of a menu that states prices, never order fish that is displayed in the restaurant as this fish is always very expensive which is the reason they have it on show, always order things that you can see a price for.
If you drink then local gin vodka etc is very cheap compared to brand names such as Gordon’s Smirnoff etc
The same goes for there local wines with brand names and again with beer if you are a beer drinker then don’t drink European brand name go for there local beer Efes which is just as nice but half the price.
Gifts – are cheap too in Turkey especially traditional Turkish Souvenirs and fake designer glasses, jeans, bags etc you can get for a good prices as long as you bargain with the shop owners or in the markets.
Good luck and have a great holiday!

A good, hot cheap holiday in April?

Question by : A good, hot cheap holiday in April?
Me and my boyfriend are going away on April the 14th preferably, for his 19th birthday. We need to find somewhere nice and hot and reasonably cheap as we’re only young. Can anyone help?

Best answer:

Answer by Ian
Assuming you time your holiday to avoid the Easter break then you can get some good deals in Cyprus. It’s early in the season and some good discounts can be found. The climate in April is great, about as hot as you will find anywhere in Europe. Pretty much all of the facilities will be open. Have a look at the Cyprus Tourist Office web-site for ideas http://www.visitcyprus.com

If either of you look under 18 then carry your passport as ID if you want to enter the clubs and bars.
