Question by Lily: Hi fellow seniors, are any of you not having turkey for Christmas dinner?
All my family here will be tucking into the traditional turkey, all but one that is.
Our daughter in law is a vegetarian so I’ll be making her an Asparagus and Ricotta Roulade.
I’ve only ever made the spinach version before so fingers crossed that it turns out alright.
So friends are you like me in that you’re traditionalists when it comes to the Christmas turkey dinner or do you like to branch out and try something different?

Our main Christmas get-together is on Sunday, 23rd – when younger daughter and husband visit (from some 200 miles away) my older daughter, husband and children – and I join in for what will be a traditional turkey dinner (I’m supplying the turkey).
2 sons work over Christmas but will come over as and when, around New Year. I’ll spend Christmas Eve and Day quietly at home – just as I prefer to – e-mailing those far away and snacking on mince pies, nuts, tangerines, chocolate, cheeses, etc – mostly stuff my doctor suggests I shouldn’t.
But every best wish to you and yours, Lily – and whatever Roulade is I hope it turns out well.
